![]() ![]() Rowdy escaped his family home in 2021 and his family was unable to find him. Our most recent capture named PJ has a real name and it’s Rowdy!! Where she will be given the time and patience she needs to settle into her new home, with no more unauthorized adventures! Thea is back in the loving arms of her new adopter The volunteer took the trap back out to this latest sighting and discovered that Thea had actually entered INTO her mama's garage just an hour earlier - so that's where the trap was placed!!!!Ībout 9:30pm, Thea made another appearance, she hemmed and hawed about her life choices and whether she wanted that big bowl of food way in the back, but FINALLY at 10:45pm she decided her life on the run was over and SHE WAS CAUGHT!! The city informed the volunteer that due to the impending storm, the park was being closed so the camera and trap needed to be pulled and she needed to leave before the flooding began.Īs luck would have it this situation turned out to be a blessing because Thea went back to her new mama's neighborhood! The volunteer ran back out and placed a camera at the adopters home and low and behold, here comes Thea looking for some snacks! Murphy's Law seems to rear its ugly head in certain situations, and this was no different. When Thea was taken out to potty, she saw the open gate and seized the opportunity to take an unauthorized adventure!įor several days, she was spotted in the brush near her new home but continued running - which makes trapping close to impossible.įinally, just prior to a big storm, Thea was spotted at a park by a LAP volunteer! Our volunteer grabbed a camera and a trap and rushed out. Thea was only in her new home for a few hours before a worker accidentally left the gate open. ![]() We received an urgent call from one of our rescue partners, League of Animal Protectors- LAP Rescue that one of their recent foster to adopt dogs had escaped her new home and needed help being caught. We are so happy for Kate, Ceri and Huey and we know he will never have to worry about being abandoned, ever again! His hobbies are: wearing cute pajamas, waiting for his momma to come home from work and never winning a tug-o-war with his sister, Ceri! Well this afternoon, the deal was sealed and Huey is now a Parsons! Huey then became a Duck Dog and the adoption process began. Kate decided, "Huey is family and he isn't going anywhere!!" □ One of our volunteers, Kate, agreed to foster Houston (Huey) for a few days till transport to his rescue could be arranged. We had to use our corral to finally get him off the streets. He was living off I-20 in Lancaster, in a ravine. I'm sure you remember Houston's capture from a couple months ago. Houston, now known as Huey, has been adopted! Thank you I Am Dog Rescue for bringing Sam into your rescue and for loving him until the end. RIP until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge. We know Leo was waiting for you with the rest of our IADR furry family. ☀ We are thankful for the hard work and dedication Duck Team 6 put into helping this guy, which gave him a chance to be loved. Sammy loved laying in the sun, and his family moved his crate back and forth from inside to outside and from sun to shade and back so he could enjoy all the perks of being outdoors when he couldn't explore on his own. Sammy was so good with his foster family and even made friends with the resident pig. We were overwhelmed by the support Sam received, and we are incredibly grateful to his foster family for coming forward and giving him love and joy for the past few weeks. The recommendation was to start with crate rest to give his spine a chance to heal. ![]() He was likely hit by cars at least twice before his capture, and he ended up with a fractured spine and a broken hip. Sam was captured by Duck Team 6 in April. The decline we saw at his last visit was due to some neurological issues, and it was extremely unlikely he'd ever recover or be pain-free. We discovered at our surgical consult that the area where Sammy's spine was fractured had actually shifted. We said our final goodbye to our sweet Sam Bass yesterday as we made the heart-wrenching decision to save him from any more pain and let him go peacefully. ![]()
